Drupon Lama Dorje

Lama Dorje was born in Limi, a village in the Himalayas, and became a monk in the Drikung Kagyu lineage at age 5. At 24 he entered a 4-year solo retreat in the mountains of India, training in Mahamudra, Dzogchen and the Six Yogas of Naropa.

Today he teaches students in Costa Rica and around the world.

A place to come home to

Dewachen means “Pure Land” in Tibetan: a refuge where we touch our true nature. In Costa Rica, our goal is to protect 108 hectares of cloud forest as part of our practice.

Inner Happiness

Meditation trainings from Tibetan masters that build peace no outside circumstance can shake.

Intercultural Unity

A sense of closeness with all beings, beyond form, color, race, gender and every other distinction.

Ecological Regeneration

Agroforestry, watershed conservation and natural building, rooted in the mindset that sustains them.
